Lots of wildlife activity in the Everglades. Its mating season for the alligators and a lot of our Opreys and eagles are raising their chicks. We usually see a lot of wildlife this time of year and this year has been no different. Water levels are seasonally low in the Glades right now with the lack of rain. Here are a couple pics from a recent Adventure Tour. Have you hugged a Python lately?

No shortage of alligators lately! We have been seeing sooo many alligators, birds, and snakes on our full day adventure Tour as well as our Everglades Wilderness Safari. During a recent reptile exhibit one of our green anacondas really took a liking to one of our passengers and was giving her many hugs and kisses! What a riot!

The wildlife viewing has been fantastic as always here in the Everglades. We have been seeing lots of alligators basking in the sun’s rays, and a variety of birds species feeding. A couple of our recent guests, Diana and Thibaut, sent us this great photo of them holding our albino python while on our All Day Adventure Tour. They sure are brave! What a great day we all had.

Everglades Tours Fort myers

I sure has been chilly out here in the Everglades, but still sunny and beautiful in south west Florida! These folks wore a couple of layers and had a great time on the airboat ride through the Everglades. Gator D reported on a recent tour, that a large 11′ alligator came up alongside the airboat and one of our passengers either got so excited or incredibly nervous (or both!) that he dropped his camera in the water right by the gator’s mouth! Capt Gary was quick and without delay grabbed the camera right from the water without losing even a finger! Now I have seen Capt Gary get bit by an alligator before and he has some great stories to tell. Anyway, The cold air has all the birds out feeding and alligators basking trying to absorb as much of the sun’s heat as possible. As you can see in the photo, Buster is so cold and lathargic he is practically sleeping in her hands! Never a dull moment in the Everglades.

Our woodstorks are back! Come out on our all day adventure tour this fall to see this endangered specie. They are so beautiful. We have also been seeing lots of alligators as usual! Buster, our small gator that we use in the hands on exhibit, peed on one of our guides the other day. I think he must have a crush on her! And an 11 foot alligator came up swimming right past the airboat on the ride! How exciting! The weather has just been delightful here in south Florida. Fun in the Swamp

Having a great time on our Everglades Adventure Tour. Here’s a photo of one of our guides, Cristina, out in the Fakahatchee Swamp with the Page family. What a great day we had seeing lots of alligators, egrets, anhingas, and herons. The Page family survived their day in the Everglades with Cristina so they also braved more of her tours and joined her on a kayaking eco-tour, and a dolphin shelling cruise. You can read about those tours here: www.goodtimecharter.com
